Daniel Kashnitsky is a postdoctoral researcher at the Cermes3 laboratory specialized in migration and health. He is currently engaged in a project supported by ANRS called “Ukrainian refugees in receiving countries: barriers, coping strategies and community engagement to enable effective access to HIV and TB care” (with Laurence Simmat-Durand as the project lead). He also works as an Academic Relations Coordinator at the Regional Expert Group on Migration and Health. Daniel has a degree of Master of Public Health degree from the Lund University, Sweden. Since 2006, he has been working in public health organizations across Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Daniel’s main areas of expertise are health of mobile populations, and a people-centered approach to HIV and TB care. As a researcher, he believes in the nexus between evidence-based advocacy and a greater power of communities of vulnerable populations in research and decision making.
