During my studies in political science and quantitative sociology, I worked on subjects related to the stigmatization of populations considered as deviant, and the policies implemented to deal with them.
In instance, I studied forced sterilizations of women detained in California between 2005 and 2010, questioning the influence of gender, race and class discrimination in eugenic practices.
I also worked on "abstinent" pedophiles and "pedosexuals", questioning the limits of prevention of sexual violence against minors in France today. I used qualitative methods in sociology, conducting semi-structured interviews with paedophiles and analyzing how deviance is categorized, prevented or treated.
Particularly interested in the sociology of deviance, I have also studied on the relationship between gender and anxiety and depressive disorders in teenagers who use psychoactive products.
I'm currently a sociology research engineer on the ICOVAC project, working on vaccine hesitancy among healthcare professionals (GPs and nurses).
